I was inspired to purchase some bell peppers after a trip to Euro Pane last Saturday. Lucky for me, Euro Pane is only a hop, skip, and jump away from my stomping grounds and a hotspot for Pasadenans. Sandwiched between eight hours of CPA prep courses, I was determined to try their popular open faced egg sandwich on my lunch break, but I already spoiled the ending for you guys...

Euro Pane is a small cafe that majors big in taste! French pastries and more. Owner trained in Paris & at La Brea Bakery. It shows.
Egg salad sandwich may be the best in the world-no kidding! Some days her croissants are also among the very best. And, I adore the colorful, decadent French macaroons. Can't always find them with a close to authentic taste. But, that's this bakery where you find the unexpected.
Service? In the past it was average at best. Nowadays, it seems to be better than ever. Ok, you just have to go yourself one day. I recommend you get there by 2pm.

After learning the bread making ropes under the tutelage of Nancy Silverton at La Brea Bakery, Sumi Chang opened Euro Pane Bakery in Pasadena. Even though Euro Pane has been around for over a decade, an empty table is still hard to come by once the weekend rolls around. Locals seem to really enjoy lounging here over a cup of coffee and the morning paper while their dogs nip at their toes.
