12/2/2009 Gyenari's menu really is divided into two.  The authentic Korean fare, and the "Seoul to Soul" menu.  The "Seoul to Soul" half was inspired and developed by Debbie Lee from the Next FoodNetwork Star.  As it turns out, the managing partner, William Shin, was recently reunited with his cousin, Debbie Lee.   After the chance encounter and reunion Debbie Lee agreed to come on and help develop the "soul" portion of the "Seoulful" menu.  Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to sample the "seoulful" portion of the menu, however I look forward to another visit in the future to test it out.   10/28/2009 Our dinner started off with cocktails and small bites on Gyenari’s patio. We sipped Soju Caipirihnas ($10) made with fresh limes, raspberries, and muddled lychee while nibbling on grilled spicy pork, beef, and vegetable skewers. Nothing gets the party started like well-crafted cocktails and meats on a stick. Read more from their blog Recommended Dishes Galbee pot pie, lobster fennel salad

10/27/2009 Overall I had a good meal (complimented by some tasty cocktails): the shiso and pear salad and pumpkin porridge stood out, and the barbecue meats were all good. On the other hand they need to be bolder with their traditional korean menu items like japchae and kimchee chigae. Read more from their blog Recommended Dishes pumpkin porridge, korean bbq, cocktails
