So the other night, The Two Guys found themselves alone at home, not particularly in the mood to cook dinner. But it was 9:00 p.m., and we figured the kitchen at most restaurants would be closed (or soon closing), and we figured our chances at eating out were slim. Still, for the last few weeks, we’d been wanting to try Noir Food & Wine, the newest wine bar in Pasadena. We went to Noir’s website and found a burger on the menu: “tarragon, caramelized onions, remoulade sauce and melted manchego.” Sold! We called, and the head chef told us that the kitchen was closing for dinner but that if we came down “right now,” he’d keep it open for us.

With a nice outdoor seating and a live jazz band, Noir is promising to be one of the outdoor destination spots in Pasadena. An extensive wine list and a kitchen manned by Chef Claud Beltran, former executive chef of Madeleine's in Pasadena, certainly doesn't hurt either
