“Where should we go for dinner?”
It is one of the most common questions we ask. The first thing you might do is to call a friend for a suggestion. If you are on vacation or on a business trip, maybe you ask the concierge at your hotel. But how do you know whether or not to trust the recommendation?
The truth is, there is nowhere to go to quickly find information from people you trust.
FoodDigger provides an easy-to-use online restaurant guide designed to ease the frustration and inconvenience that all of us often experience when we filter through the many restaurant reviews out there.
At FoodDigger, we’ve created a way to find restaurant recommendations from people you can rely on. We designed a system where users can cast a trust vote when they agree with another user’s ratings and reviews for a particular cuisine. The more votes a person receives, the higher he/she climbs the recognition ladder to become a Cuisine Expert. In addition to the voting system, every user creates a Flavor Profile so you can compare your unique tastes in food with others. All in all, we found that there’s more to finding recommendations than just a review and a score. Everyone has very specific taste sensibilities that may or may not sync up with your own.
Our ratings and reviews feature an easy to understand 100-point scale encapsulating the three criteria of food, vibe, and service level. Food enthusiasts will be able to search for restaurants based on their customizable preferences for these criteria as well as location, cuisine, and other attributes.
Our vision is to become the leading global food-related community where people can easily share and quickly find information about restaurants from people they trust.
