A Worthy Expense Account Meal

When we have clients in town Madeo is a solid go-to choice for lunch or dinner. It's close to the office, on a easy stretch of Beverly Blvd.
The sunken dining room is comfortable and good for doing business- not too loud. Men in suits, diamond-studded women and Hollywood stars fill the seats day and night. Bentley's often line the valet.
So after all that the food is solid, but too expensive for what you're getting. In a city that has Angelini Osteria, Mozza, Amarone, Drago, La Buca- it's hard to swallow a mid-sized $25 plate of pasta, no matter how good it tastes.
The specials (I recently had razor clam spaghetti) are unique, the caprese is as fresh as any I've had and the fish is always cooked to perfection.
The staff are effusive Italian, which is always a bonus.
